Our terms and conditions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VikingCloud platform and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by VikingStrike ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using VikingCloud, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Service Description

VikingCloud is a cloud security scanning platform that provides:

  • Automated security assessments of cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
  • Vulnerability detection, secret scanning, and software bill of materials (SBOM) analysis
  • Security findings, compliance checks, and remediation guidance
  • Team-based collaboration tools for managing cloud security posture

VikingCloud operates using an agentless architecture. We do not install any software on your cloud infrastructure. All scanning is performed remotely using the credentials you provide.

3. Account Responsibilities

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Security

You agree to notify us immediately at support@vikingstrike.com if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

3.3 Team Accounts

If you create or manage a team account, you are responsible for managing team member access and permissions. You must ensure that all team members comply with these Terms.

4. Cloud Credential Handling

4.1 Credential Provision

To use the scanning features of VikingCloud, you must provide credentials for your cloud provider accounts. You represent and warrant that:

  • You are authorized to provide these credentials and to grant us read-only access to the associated cloud accounts
  • The credentials you provide have the minimum permissions necessary for scanning (read-only access)
  • You will not provide credentials for cloud accounts that you do not own or have authorization to scan

4.2 Credential Security

All credentials you provide are encrypted using industry-standard authenticated encryption before storage. Credentials are never stored in plaintext. Encryption keys are managed separately from encrypted data through a dedicated key management service. You may delete your stored credentials at any time through the VikingCloud dashboard.

4.3 Read-Only Access

VikingCloud is designed to operate with read-only access to your cloud infrastructure. We do not modify, create, or delete any resources in your cloud accounts. We strongly recommend using credentials with the minimum permissions required for scanning.

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Plans and Pricing

VikingCloud offers subscription plans ranging from $49 to $149 per month. Current pricing details are available on our website. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5.2 Free Trial

New accounts may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. During the trial period, you have access to the Service features included in your selected plan. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.

5.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected billing cycle). You agree to Stripe's Terms of Service for payment processing.

5.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • Scan cloud accounts or infrastructure that you do not own or do not have explicit authorization to scan
  • Engage in any illegal, unauthorized, or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any third-party systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, content, and documentation, is owned by VikingStrike and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription.

7.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to your data, including cloud credentials, scan results, and any other information you provide to or generate through the Service. We claim no ownership over your data. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VikingStrike and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, regardless of the theory of liability.

Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

VikingCloud is a security assessment tool and does not guarantee the complete security of your cloud infrastructure. We are not liable for any security incidents, data breaches, or damages that occur in your cloud environments, whether or not identified by our scans.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant that our security scans will detect all vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or security issues in your cloud infrastructure.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VikingStrike and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your provision of credentials for cloud accounts you are not authorized to scan
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through the account settings in the dashboard. Upon termination, your access to the Service will end at the conclusion of your current billing period.

11.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm VikingStrike, other users, or third parties. In cases of material breach, termination may be immediate.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your stored credentials promptly. Scan data may be retained for up to 90 days after termination to allow for account reactivation. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and governing law) will continue in effect.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tokyo, Japan.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and terminate your account.

14. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VikingStrike regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
